The series stars Edmond O’Brien as the title character – Johnny Midnight. Johnny Midnight was a New York City actor who became a private detective. His cases frequently focused upon Times Square and Broadway.
Earlier he had triumphed on stage there. Midnight lived in a noble penthouse in Manhattan. From here he had a “stunning view of the city” and further he had a wise-cracking Japanese houseboy, called Aki.
